ALYSA HANSEN

US Volunteer Coordinator

Alysa Hansen is the US Volunteer Coordinator with Action for Cheetahs in Kenya (ACK). She has been assisting with volunteer coordination since 2017. Alysa first began working with ACK as an intern in 2015 and returned for four months in 2016 to complete her Master's thesis at our Samburu study site. Her research focused on evaluating the effectiveness of visual deterrents in reducing livestock depredation, as well as local people's willingness to pay for deterrent systems.


Alysa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Hendrix College and an MSc in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Conservation Biology from Antioch University New England.

SONORA KAMERON

COOL CRAFTS Program Manager

In 2019, Sonora began working with CaLL as the COOL Craft’s Program Manager,  where she is overseeing the import, sales, and expansion of COOL Crafts as they develop and maintain relationships with Kenyan artists and US facilities.

Sonora started working with ACK in 2017 as a Master’s student from Colorado State University. Her Master’s project focused on developing an accessible “Human-Carnivore Conflict Mitigation Toolbox” that can be used to reduce human-wildlife conflict in Kenya.

She received her Professional Science Master’s in Zoo, Aquarium and Animal Shelter Management from CSU in May 2019 after graduating from New Mexico Tech in May 2017 with a BSc in Biology with Environmental Science.
